Model'south career decision is crushing him…

Handsome and Hopeless

DEAR TABBY: I could actually utilise some career advice, and I couldn't think of a better expert to ask.

I'1000 a 21-year-old struggling male model, and I recently received the opportunity to practice an, um, "spicy" centerfold spread in a national magazine.

I'yard torn. Exercise I take the hazard and endeavor to push my career to the next level, fifty-fifty if it means baring a little pare, or do I pass on the job and expect for a ameliorate opportunity?

I remember you mentioning that you did a spread for Playcat magazine a few years dorsum. Did you take any reservations at the time, and do you feel similar it helped or injure your career?

Thanks in advance.

Playcat mag, April 2010

DEAR HANDSOME & HOPELESS: Of course I had reservations about the Playcat spread. I think it's only natural to be a lilliputian nervous when you're baring your tum, but more than than that, I was also nervous about what it might mean for my hereafter chore prospects.

I didn't want to cease upward beingness known every bit "that true cat" in the kitty modeling earth — you know, the 1 who'll evidence off his junk at the drib of a hat.

But information technology sounds like my situation was a little dissimilar than yours. Kickoff, I'grand a cat. 2d, I was already famous before I posed for the magazine. Ultimately, I did it for the fans, and I don't experience like information technology hurt my career. Every bit long as it makes people happy, I'll go on sharing my tum with the world.

Yous sound like a pretty smart guy. I recall you already know what y'all should do, but my ii cents? I say get for information technology. Opportunities like that don't come forth very oft.

Equally for what the chore could do for your career, await at that Kendra gal or Jenny McCarthy. Both of them parlayed similar gigs into bigger opportunities. Skillful luck!

Start with stripes…

Wondering in Wisconsin

Dear TABBY: Fashion question for you. I'm a spotted Bengal interested in exploring coincidental and formal wear, but I'k afraid that the plaid and argyle patterns I'one thousand attracted to volition clash with my fur. What are the best ways to article of clothing prints with spotted fur?

Attempt experimenting with tweed…

DEAR WONDERING: Sounds like you take an astonishing coat. Lucky you!

Personally, I'm a big fan of mixing and matching prints, and I always tell patterned kitties to only take fun with it. My personal style philosophy? If you run into something and it makes your tail twitch, get for information technology!

The plaid and argyle patterns both sound bang-up, but if you're not used to seeing yourself in them, you may exist shocked the commencement time yous catch a glimpse of yourself in a mirror. Start slowly by introducing something simple into your wardrobe; I recommend pinstripes — classic, understated and elegant.

Walking woes…

Troubled in Tacoma

DEAR TABBY: I recently accustomed a position as a professional person pet banana working for a sassy 2-yr-erstwhile devious named Sally. Sally wants my assist incorporating daily walks into her fitness regimen.

Trouble is, she hates harnesses. I oasis't constitute 1 she likes. Every bit soon as she puts 1 on, she plops downwardly on the ground, rolls around and refuses to walk.

All of the pet assistants in my professional network think that Emerge'due south a lost cause. What do you call back? I don't want to lose this job.

Leash love
I highly recommend walking…

DEAR TROUBLED IN TACOMA: First, congrats on your new partnership! And I'm glad you decided to accept a job assisting a stray. That'southward very wise of you lot. I was a stray in one case, you know…

I still remember the commencement fourth dimension my assistant placed a harness on me. I take to be honest with you, it actually freaked me out!

I got used to it, though, slowly simply surely. The treats certainly helped. Every time my assistant put my harness on me, she'd feed me a spoonful of gravy or a few pieces of Pounce. She also lavished me with sweet talk and strokes.

At first, I only wore the harness for a few minutes within the business firm. Nosotros did that a few times to get used to it, and and then slowly worked our manner up from v-infinitesimal trips outside to 10 and 15. Pretty soon I was comfy and walking effectually.

At present I really look forward to my walks.

Don't requite up on Sally, Troubled! I think a lot of kitties kickoff at that same exact place, merely with plenty of positive encouragement, patience and love, pretty soon you 2 will be enjoying the bang-up outdoors.

Get on the gravy train…

Culinarily Curious

Beloved TABBY: I've been thinking virtually calculation a few cans of gravy to my weekly grocery list, just I'm clueless when information technology comes to moisture food. I've always been more than of a dry food kitty, but I'm trying to aggrandize my culinary horizons. Can you recommend any flavors to effort?
— Culinarily Curious

Gravy Lovers
Love the turkey and salmon…

Love CURIOUS: Sure thing. I'm a huge fan of the Gravy Lovers series from Fancy Feast, and my favorite flavor is Turkey…although the salmon's also pretty good.

When I'm in the mood to overindulge, oh, I love the Appetizers for Cats, likewise by Fancy Feast.

They have gigantic chunks of fish and meat served in "a delicate goop" that'due south like super fancy gravy. Over again, very tasty!

For what it's worth, if I had to cull one kind of cat food to concluding me through the zombie apocalypse…I'd cull those Appetizers from Fancy Feast.
